My work includes “Hofmann’s Potion,” released in 2002. Produced by the National Film Board of Canada, this was one of the first documentaries to delve into the early history of the world’s most famous psychedelic. With its all-star cast, including chemist Albert Hofmann and psychedelic pioneers Stanislav Grof, Laura Huxley, Humphry Osmond, Abram Hoffer, Myron Stolaroff, Duncan Blewett, Ram Dass, and Ralph Metzner — this film chronicles the psychedelic history of the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

“The Sunshine Makers” (2015) is a story that I wrote and produced in collaboration with Passion Pictures, UK. This film tells the story of Nicholas Sand and Tim Scully, the unlikely duo at the heart of 1960s American drug counterculture. “…there’s no question that hanging out with Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn on acid has its appeal,” said Manohla Dargis, in The New York Times.

“In all the documentaries about the stupidities of the war against drugs, the smartest documentary yet may well be Damage Done: The Drug War Odyssey,” said The Vancouver Sun, in 2007. This film, which I wrote and directed, features Senator Larry Campbell, Judge James Gray, Cele Castillo, and NYPD (Retired) Detective Frank Serpico.

I’ve recently completed a feature documentary film about Ann & Sasha Shulgin, titled “Better Living Through Chemistry.“
